Hey you! Adorable boy – did you really decide to grow up on me?

I can hardly believe that baby Helms is one! Actually, one and one month, to be exact. His birthday is in January but we were forced to postpone his portrait session for several weeks due to consecutive weekend snowstorms.

Oh, yeah, he’s workin’ it now! We loved that little hat…even though he really did not!

Big sister Grace is looking beautiful herself! (We didn’t pose her this way, by the way! She just decided to be cooperative, a fact which we definitely celebrated.)

We couldn’t have asked for a better blue sky day!

I love, love, love this sweet canvas which came through this week (sized at 20 x 30.)
I particularly like the texture and the fact that it stands out about 1.5 inches from the wall to give it presence. It really is a work of art for your wall!

A big, big thanks to the staff of WNC Magazine (Matt, Brian, and the rest of the gang) for allowing us to spend the day photographing our kids and for treating them so well! Cole & Harper have enjoyed flipping through the magazine (separate copies, of course) and saying “There we are! There we are!”

I so enjoyed spending time with Lauryn on her second birthday! She is adorable, curious, and sweet!

What more could a girl ask for on her birthday but a tea party…

I hope you got that chocolate mousse you were asking for, Lauryn, because you are as sweet as can be!

Oh, those eyes! That hair! That dress! And the tongue…that just makes me giggle.

As you might imagine with most 2-year-olds, we spent a good portion of the session on the run!

But she did take a breather to cuddle her little brother.
You’re such a great big sister, Gracie! Happy, happy 2nd birthday to you!
