cover girl

September 1, 2010

Guess who’s the cover girl for the September issue of WNC Parent? She also happens to be the birthday girl, as she’ll be turning ONE this weekend!

Oh, it’s such a good thing to sleep…

…unencumbered by worries or cares, and able to stretch your feet out as you please. (It’s an amazing thing how much room there is outside the womb!)

Miss Ava was all of 15 days old when I hung out with her and her parents for a little while on Sunday afternoon…

…and as perfect as you please the whole time. I’m certain she’s grown already in both sweetness and stature!

I was so excited to see baby Victoria again! I hadn’t seen her since January, though I think I just might have recognized those blue eyes anywhere! And the curls – oh my!

Seriously. Adorable.

After a few formal portraits (which weren’t really that formal at all, considering we were hanging out on the deck!) we decided to relax and crawl around…and eat flowers…and chase cats. I have to say, Victoria’s world is quite enjoyable!

Hanging out with dad…

…and graciously accepting a few smooches from mom & dad. Thank you, Victoria, for being the best, best, best baby ever!

Evie Girl

July 3, 2010

Evie and her family moved down south, but before they left we were able to squeeze in one last family session.

Love it!

It’s amazing to me just how much she’s already changed from last month!

She’s such a sweet, happy, calm baby, and of course I love her little curls!

Thank you, Mike & Karie, for allowing me to document the first 6 months of Evie’s life! It has been such a treat to photograph your family of three.

Seriously smoochable (and smooshable!)

Evie & her mama were kind enough to introduce me to this beautiful little public garden!

Though Evie wasn’t so keen on the grass. I think she’s thinking, “Are you kidding me with this??”

Ahh, a soft blanket…that’s better!

Look at her beautiful dark blue eyes! And that little curl! Sigh….

Don’t mind me — I’m just hanging out in the doorway in the beautiful light, lookin’ cute. It’s a rough life, but somebody has to do it.

Some days are all about getting out and exploring the world…

It’s all about having fun in your environment…

…even if you don’t necessarily agree with your mom’s clothing choices.

Speaking of mom and dad, they’re pretty awesome, too.

Baby Ephraim is all grown up! Okay, not really, but he’s walking and talking and is happy and social and silly. It has been such a pleasure to photograph his first year!
