Hello! I'm Joanna, author of this photo journal. My husband, Mark, and I are professional photographers in Asheville, North Carolina. The name of our company, Tuesday's Frog, is based on an almost-wordless children's book about mischievous frogs that go flying on lily pads one night. We love this book because the illustrations are truly the heart of the story. Speaking of mischievous, Cole & Harper are our children, and frequent, though not always willing, photography subjects. Here you'll find not only the stories of our everyday lives, but of those we've photographed in our capacity as professional photographers as well.
Meet Sandefur…
…and Matt. They were married this past weekend at the Pavilion at Lake Rabun in northern Georgia. We so enjoyed documenting their day!

Whohoo! Oh so happy to be officially married!
Matt & Sandefur met in the woods, so we thought it only fitting to do their portraits in the trees!

…followed by a slightly more mischievous cake cutting!
Everyone danced to the great jazz band.

And seriously, what better way to depart your wedding day than by boat? Bon voyage, Sandefur & Matt!
We drove through some beautiful countryside to get to Josh & Courtney’s hometown church in Alexander this past Saturday.
The groom…he seemed pretty calm the whole time…in fact, I’m pretty sure he spent the morning fishing.
The ring bearer…you can almost always count on ring bearers to be funny, and Austin lived up to my expectations.
And here’s the bride, Courtney, with her mom.
This is exactly how I picture Courtney at all times – laughing and surrounded by friends and family.
..even if a few “happy tears” managed to sneak their way in.
The couple had a beautiful evening service.
I loved the communion by candlelight!
After the service and portraits we headed outside for a few pictures before the rain clouds rolled in again.
They look pretty happy, don’t you think?
By the end of the night the rain had stopped and everyone came outdoors to wrap up the evening.
I always wonder about the getaway car (or truck) – who cleans it in the morning? Does it sit in an airport this way?

I told you it was a garden-themed week! Kristan & Adam incorporated many garden details into their decor: gerbera daisies, fresh strawberry jam for favors (yum!), green apples & grapes for table settings, icy, cold sweet tea, and even a sweet little butterfly on the handkerchief Kristan carried with her bouquet.
How pretty is this centerpiece?
The reception was catered by Artisan Catering and flowers were provided by The Enchanted Florist.

And here’s Adam…mmhhhmmmm. Making sure he’s ready for the honeymoon, I’m sure.
As you might guess, Adam was in a pretty good mood on his wedding day. He was also hyper-aware of Mark photographing him…
…that is, until Kristan started walking down the aisle. Now she’s got his full attention!
Kristan & Adam were married at The Glen at Homewood. It was beautiful!! Their ceremony was at noon and the sun came out for a short time, then hid behind the clouds again. Kristan’s sister was the maid of honor and Adam’s dad was the best man.

Adam had set up this spot for Kristan so that they could take a little break before portraits. So sweet!
