Hello! I'm Joanna, author of this photo journal. My husband, Mark, and I are professional photographers in Asheville, North Carolina. The name of our company, Tuesday's Frog, is based on an almost-wordless children's book about mischievous frogs that go flying on lily pads one night. We love this book because the illustrations are truly the heart of the story. Speaking of mischievous, Cole & Harper are our children, and frequent, though not always willing, photography subjects. Here you'll find not only the stories of our everyday lives, but of those we've photographed in our capacity as professional photographers as well. Please feel free to browse the links above, check out the archives at the bottom of the journal for more photo stories, or subscribe and receive email updates of all our antics. Enjoy!

a product post
We've had lots o' products through here recently, so I thought I'd take a minute to share some with you...
This is our new portrait album, which features 20 images sized at 5x7. The album has sturdy black pages and reinforced metal corners for extra durability, and comes in the following colors: light pink, light blue, red, white, brown, or black.
Here's another peek at the custom 8x6 album that is included with the Simple Plan package on the weddings side. (Color shown is Hazelnut.)
'Tis the season for Christmas cards! Have you done yours yet?
I love these collages. Here's the "Asa" version.
And finally, brag books. This is a fairly new product on the portraits side - sweet lil' 5x5 books that come in sets of 2 and feature up to 21 of your favorite photos.
Here's another fun product to show you - wedding proofs. These are individual 5x5 prints of every single wedding image that you see in your gallery. Though the print size is 5x5, the actual image size is 4x3, surrounded by a sloppy black border. You can have your proofs spiral bound in sets of 100 or leave them loose and store them in the provided presentation box. (To give you an idea, a set of 500 prints would come in a 6x6x6 square box.)
What I like best about these proofs is that you can do so many things with them - you can easily frame your favorites in small frames, and you can pull out those candid shots of family & friends to include with your thank you notes or holiday gifts. You could turn one into a pretty neat postcard, too.
These are also available on the portrait side -- if you desire a proof of every single image from your portrait session you can purchase the entire set.
We currently offer 3 types of albums with our wedding packages. The first, pictured above, is an exquisite 8x10 flushmount album. It can be imprinted in gold or silver with your names & wedding date.
The pages of this flushmount album are very sturdy to protect your images from wear & tear. The photos in this album can be panoramic - extending all the way across a two-page spread - which is particularly nice for your favorite horizontal images. You can also display multiple images on each page as desired.
The pages of this album are bound just like a book. This album comes in a really nice array of different fabrics and textures to match the colors of your wedding day as well as reflect your personal style, and includes a presentation box.
Our second album is a ribbon-bound album that also comes in an array of fabrics & ribbon choices. At 10x13, it's slightly larger than the flushmount album.
Your favorite prints are permanently mounted on matted pages. Note the neat deckled/torn edge to the pages, too.
I love the ribbon! This album also includes a matching custom-made presentation box.
And finally, these little cuties are included in our base package for 2009. Because everyone needs an album to show off their favorite images! This album is 6x9, which could fit right in your purse if you have a purse like mine. These albums include 30 5x7 prints of your choice, as well as a smaller image on the cover.
The ribbon around the album slips off easily without being untied. Your prints are mounted directly to the page and protected by a sheer parchment paper.
The best part about these albums (besides the sweet size) is that they are custom-made based on your desired color/fabric choices!
I LOVE the look and feel of letterpress, and what you see here is a small sampling of new goodies from Krista over at Papered Together. She makes all my letterpress visions come true - I was so excited to open up this big box yesterday when it arrived. Thank you, Krista!
